Building AI Applications with LLMs & AI Agents

A live, hands-on course focused on teaching you how to build modern AI applications using LLMs and AI Agents.

Throughout the course, we will start by understanding LLMs and how to work with them, then gradually move toward building real applications using the core technologies and concepts of AI Engineering.

The focus is on building and practical application, not theory.

Course Topics

Understanding LLMs & AI Agents

  • Understanding LLMs and how they are used to build AI applications

  • The difference between an LLM, an AI application, and an AI Agent

  • Understanding the core components of AI applications

Prompt Engineering

  • Understanding how to write effective prompts

  • Providing LLMs with the right context and instructions

  • Using prompts as part of building AI applications

LangChain Fundamentals

  • Understanding the role of LangChain

  • Building AI applications with LangChain

  • Connecting different components together

Tools

  • Connecting LLMs to external tools

  • Enabling applications to perform tasks and actions

  • Using Tools inside AI applications

AI Agents

  • Understanding how AI Agents work

  • How an Agent decides when to use tools

  • Building Agents capable of handling multi-step tasks

RAG

  • Understanding Retrieval-Augmented Generation

  • Connecting LLMs to external knowledge sources

  • Building RAG-based applications

Streamlit

  • Building an interface for an AI application

  • Connecting the interface to the AI application

  • Turning the application into a usable prototype

Practical Project

Throughout the course, each student will work on their own AI project and apply the concepts and technologies covered during the sessions.

The project will be based on the student's background and interests, with the option to bring their own idea or receive guidance in defining a suitable project.

GitHub will be used throughout the project to practice developing and organizing software in a workflow closer to real-world development environments.

Live Sessions + Recordings

The course is delivered through live sessions, allowing you to interact, ask questions, and follow the practical work in real time.

If you cannot attend a session live, the session recordings will be available to you, so you can follow the course at a time that works for you.
